------------------------------------------- Apartment 3B Sunday, 12pm------------------------------------------- It was the weekend before the spring term was beginning to start, and Leah was already busy looking over her many syllabuses on the four classes she was responsible for. She was sitting at the kitchen table, a cup of coffee in her hand as she made notes about specific assignments and projects as her 12 year old son, Alex, played a video game in the next room.
She glanced up at the clock and noticed it was noon, and put her notes and books in a neat pile before taking her cup to the sink and rinsing it out, and then going to the cabinets in search of something to make for lunch. She settled on sandwiches for the time being, figuring that she and her son could go out for dinner that evening if they were feeling up to it. As much as Leah loved to cook, she didn't object to a nicely cooked meal at a restaurant either.
Her son turned off his game and came to the table and grabbed a sandwich and some potato chips before saying he was going to start on his homework for classes. Leah smiled, glad that she didn't have to tell him to actually keep up with his classes and pulled her notes to her once more, nibbling on her own sandwich between edits and comments.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------~*Zane Dubbrai*~------------------------------------------------------------------- He had finally gotten out of that god awful place. He didn't dare drive however. He took a cab, and was dropped off at the apartment complex. He wanted to surprise his dad about his coming home. He missed his sister and his dad, and things had been rough for him over the last few months. However as he approached the building, he couldn't remember if he lived in apartment 3B or 3A so, he knocked on the first one he thought, it was. 3B
He wrapped lightly on the door and looked down at the sidewalk shifting slightly onto his good leg and waited for someone to answer..

------------------------------------------- ;;LEAH CARSON;; Apartment 3C------------------------------------------- Leah had just stood up and put her dirty plate in the sink and grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge when a knock at the door filled the silent apartment. She looked at it curious, not expecting any company. She didn't know many people in the neighborhood yet, since she and Alex had just moved there a few weeks before.
She put the bottle of water on the table and walked over to the front door, still in her heels from church. They clicked across the tiled floor as she peeked in the peephole to see who was on the other side. Seeing a young man, she opened the door and gave a warm smile.
"Hi," she greeted. "What can I do for ya?" Her thick southern drawl from living in Tennessee so many years was highly noticeable on the west coast. She wasn't ashamed of it, but it did earn her some funny looked every once in a while.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------~*Zane Dubbrai*~------------------------------------------------------------------- Zane's head shot up when he heard a female voice speaking to him. Oops, wrong door. He smiled sweetly and apologetically at her. "Oh. Sorry ma'am." he said with his thick London accent. "I was looking for Blane Dubbrai. I couldn't remember which place was his. All these doors look alike." he said with a slight chuckle. "You wouldn't happen to know which one is his would you?" he asked with a sweet smile.
He shifted slightly once more, his leg feeling a bit stiff from the flight and the cab ride over. He adjusted the bag on his shoulder that felt like it was cutting into his skin. The other one sat at his feet him having set it down to release some of the tension from the weight of it all.

------------------------------------------- ;;LEAH CARSON;; Apartment 3C------------------------------------------- Leah listened to the boy speak and automatically knew he wasn't from Cali. Terrace was sure getting some diversity, that was for sure, she thought and noticed him shifting his weight and his bag. "Do you need any help?" she asked. "I can help ya find him. In fact, I think I vaguely remember hearing that name. I think he may live next door.
She called into the apartment to Alex that she would be right back that she was helping a neighbor and waited to hear a response before shutting the door. "I'll help ya find this Blane fella, don't worry," she said with smile. "I'm Leah, by the way, it's nice to meet ya.".

-----------------------------------------------------------------------~*Zane Dubbrai*~------------------------------------------------------------------- Zane smiled at Leah when she asked him if he needed any help and offered to show him where he could find Blane. He had figured that he was just next door, but, the bags were getting a bit heavy and he welcomed the relief off of his bad leg. He adjusted the bag on his shoulder and followed her next door.
Once they got there he knocked lightly on the door waiting to see if his dad was going to answer, or his sister. He only hoped that they were home or he'd wind up having to either stay outside and wait or ask Leah if he could stay with her until he returned. "I'm Zane by the way." he replied. "Zane Dubbrai." he added with a nod.

------------------------------------------- ;;LEAH CARSON;; Apartment 3C------------------------------------------- "Nice to meet ya, Zane," she said with a smile. "You have a very unique name, by the way. Sounds like something out of a novel."
She shook her head and smiled. "I'm the Creative Writing professor at the university," she said. "I'm constantly thinking in the lines of my job. So you must be related to this Blane. How so?" she asked. She was just happy to finally meet others in town; she hadn't gotten the chance to do that quite yet.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------~*Zane Dubbrai*~------------------------------------------------------------------- Zane chuckled when she said that his name was unique like something out of a novel. "It's actually a combination of my parent's names." he answered with a smile. "Blane is my father." he added as he waited for his dad to answer the door. He shifted slightly

---------------------------------------------~*Blane Dubbrai*~ --------------------------------------------- Blane was in the living room watching cartoons with Saria when he he heard a knock at the door. "Odd. I don't recall ordering anything? Who could that be?" he asked his daughter.
She shrugged and looked over at the t.v. again. Blane got up and made his way over to the door before peeking out through the peep hole but couldn't quite make out who it was. He unlocked the door and pulled it open seeing Zane there. He blinked in shock for a moment before calling out. "Saria!! Come quick!" and pulling Zane into a warm embrace.
"Oh this is a marvelous surprise son! When did you get here!!?" he asked before noticing the woman beside his son. "Oh hullo. Don't think we've met. I'm Blane Dubbrai." he said smiling over at her still hugging his son.
Saria darted to the door and squealed with delight at the site of her big brother. "ZANE!!" she cried out before hugging him tightly around the waist.

------------------------------------------- ;;LEAH CARSON;; Apartment 3C------------------------------------------- Lean smiled and watched the family reunite. It was obvious that the young man who had shown up on her front door step had been away from home for a while by the reaction that she saw.
She smiled at Blane when he said hello and introduced himself. "It's nice to meet you," she said with a nod. "I'm Leah Carson, I just moved in next door a few weeks ago. This young fella ended up at my door in search for you, but since he's found his way, I'd best get back to my plans and let ya'll have your family reunion. It was nice meeting all of you." she nodded at Blane and Zach and left his bag that she had brought for him by his feet.

---------------------------------------------~*Blane Dubbrai*~ --------------------------------------------- "It's nice to meet you too. Welcome to the neighborhood." Blane said with a nod still holding his arm over his son's shoulder. Saria clung to her brother as Blane led him back inside and shut the door behind them. The happy family reunited once more.
